It's been almost one month since I posted something on my blog. What can I say... I was busy with a lot of things including my new job but I'm happy that I found some time to write a few words here. First of all, I'm happy that summer is finally over (haters gonna hate). Don't get me wrong. I usually almost
like summer but this year the high degrees made me desire to move myself into a fridge as soon as possible. Now that this pain is over, I'm happy to welcome autumn even though it brought with it a lot of excessive rain but who cares since the temperature is decent now.
I miss travelling and sometimes I even feel that I miss school. Life feels different now. A lot of responsibilities, tragedies, less free time and bills to pay. Remember to always slap a kid whenever he says that he wants to grow up faster (joking, but seriously though, why would you want that?). Given the fact that this new life-style can be demanding, it's always recommended to find a way to still do things that you like. For instance, I'm planning a short trip to Budapest next month and it's the perfect opportunity to reconnect with my dear Erasmus friends. My post Erasmus depression kicks in every time I'm looking at photos that I've taken during my time in Zadar, Croatia.
Also, I'm intending to visit Norway and Sweden again next year (challenge accepted) and to take Cambridge (CAE) English exam (finally). That's it for now. Looking forward to write about my latest adventure. :)
It's been almost two weeks since I moved in my new apartment. What can I say? It's different, it's nice and most importantly it's really comfy. I absolutely adore my room and the fact that it's situated in a nice and quiet area of the city. Feels amazing to finally get your own place after so many years in the student dorms. I also love my king-sized bed, I mean, I always wanted one and now I got it!
In order for my room to be suited for me I had to redecorate it in my own style: by making it look international (flag invasion) and by filling empty walls with amazing memories from the past. Even though it might look quite cheesy, I also have some inspirational quotes cuz....why not?
It has been a full week at the Romanian sea-side. A lot of people, smiles, friends, tragedies, trips and many other things that made this trip unique in its own way. I missed seeing these wonderful views and it was a pleasure to re-visit the beautiful city of Constanta with my friends. Also, it was the perfect time to take a short break from the daily drama that surrounds my existence lately and I have to say that I love my new skin color. Can't wait for another round next month! 😉
Yes! That day finally came and I successfully defended my thesis and got my master's degree in Accounting Expertise and Business Valuation. Was it easy? Clearly no but also not impossible. It took a lot of motivation, drama and countless hours of studying to finally do it. Now I have to decide whether I should or should not follow the PhD programme and if I'm completely honest, I kind of had enough of school but the PhD has an outstanding value so If I get the chance, why not?
I just want to chill in the following days and start planning what's about to happen in my life. At the beginning of this year I applied for an internship at the European Parliament in Luxembourg and somehow I made it to the final phase of the selection. So....what now? 😨
I'm sorry for not being able to write something on my blog recently but as I announced
in several (a lot) of posts, I had to write my dissertation thesis. I can proudly say that my thesis is now ready and I can't wait to defend it so I can get my degree and move forward in my career. No, it wasn't easy writing it, mostly because procrastination rules our lives lately but with a bit of effort I somehow did it. I am mostly happy with the results and I hope things will be even better in mid July when I will defend it in front of a severe committee. 😱😨
A lot of things happened during this time, sadly even though I would like to share my thoughts on them, I can't actually share them with the entire world (if somehow actually still reads my blog). I can only say that I miss Sweden, I miss Croatia...I miss my former lifestyle. Comfort zone is so boring and God I wish it won't be like this for a long time. 😢 Tomorrow I will print my first copies of the thesis which is about Analytical Procedures in Financial Audit (if, for some reason, someone is interested in this subject). For now, I can share my first slide of the presentation (I love playing with power-point slides). See ya soon!
If I had an Erasmus Diary on my blog why can't I have an exam diary? I'm obviously joking, all you can do in an exam diary is to complain of how beautiful is outside and you are inside your room trying to understand analytical procedures and rations applied in financial audit. Thank God for Instagram stories tho', at least I can make a drama there. The deadline is almost here and I have to deliver my thesis so I can defend it in less than one month now. To make it even worse, Katy Perry's latest song is messing with my mind and I ended up singing 'Bon Apetit Baby' all day yesterday. Anyway, time to
focus now. 💼📖😣😨
I'm counting down the days 'till exams will be over and I will enjoy summer properly. Two days ago, I managed to successfully pass my last two exams at my master's and now I'm fully concentrated on my thesis, ignoring the fact that I still have some history exams. Adult life crisis will hit soon since I have to move out from the student dormitory and find myself a proper place to rent until I'll be rich enough to buy my own place (haha).
Also, I still have some flashbacks from the amazing trip we had to Sibiu and Sighisoara last week. Can't wait for the next adventure which will probably be at the sea-side. 🙌🌊🍦
Just as I posted a few days ago, me and my friends visited three amazing cities in Transylvania, Romania. First stop was Alba Iulia, a city located on the Mures river. We only spent a few hours there to enjoy the beautiful sunrise on the hill where the old citadel is. It was really nice and the weather was great! The second stop was Sibiu where we spent the next three days. We walked a lot, we discovered a lot of interesting things and ate lots of meals which weren't necessarily healthy (no need to worry, I'm back on my healthy track again). The last stop was Sighisoara where everything was perfect. I never knew Romania had such an amazing city since I never been there but damn, Sighisoara is the top of everything! The air, views, architecture...everything is perfect there.
Below you can see photos that I've taken from Sibiu. I'll post the others in different articles.
